Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has just held a new round of invitations under the Express Entry system, inviting 646 candidates through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream.
To be eligible for consideration, candidates needed to have a minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 750 and had to have submitted their Express Entry profile before 5:41 PM UTC on July 23, 2024.
This latest draw is the third one this month, following another PNP draw on February 4, which sent out 455 invitations, and a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on February 5, where 4,000 ITAs were issued.
Since the beginning of 2025, IRCC has focused its Express Entry draws on PNP and CEC candidates. The volume of invitations for CEC applicants has returned to the higher numbers typically seen in 2024, signaling a shift in draw trends.
Notably, the recent draws have excluded category-based invitations for French speakers, healthcare professionals, and tradespeople, groups that have been prioritized in the Express Entry system this year. As part of the 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan, IRCC has allocated 41,700 permanent resident spaces for these categories in 2025.
