Ontario and British Columbia have initiated draws for their Provincial Nominee Programs

This week, both the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations to prospective applicants via their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Launched in 1998, the PNP allows provinces and territories to collaborate with the federal government on immigration matters, enhancing the advantages of immigration throughout Canada.

Although a provincial nomination does not guarantee permanent residency, it considerably enhances a candidate’s chances by adding 600 points to their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for those in the Express Entry pool, making it much more likely to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) in subsequent draws.
