800 Invitations Were Sent by IRCC to Express Entry Candidates on 11 July

800 invitations were sent by IRCC to Express Entry candidates on 11 July with a minimum CRS score of 505 in the latest round of invitations.

Express Entry Draw Results from July 4 to 7

Between July 4 and 7, draws were held by IRCC on four consecutive days last week. 700 candidates were issued invitations on July 4 from an unexpected all-program draw who needed a minimum CRS score of 511. For any all-program draw so far in 2023, this was the highest CRS score.

On July 5, the second draw of the week was the anticipated First Ever Express Entry STEM Draw. 500 candidates with a minimum score of 486 were invited by IRCC. It was announced by IRCC a week in advance that this draw will take place.

1,500 Express Entry Candidates in the Third Round of Category Based Draw were invited by IRCC on July 6, with a cut-off CRS score of 463 in the third draw of last week.

On July 7, the fourth draw of the week occurred. 2,300 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 439 and strong French-speaking abilities were issued ITAs.

Express Entry Draw Results from June 27 to 28

4,300 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 486 were invited in an all-program draw on June 27. First ever ITAs for category based selection were issued by IRCC on June 28.

500 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 476 and work experience in healthcare occupations were invited to apply for permanent residence.

Category-Based Selection

On May 31, Sean Fraser, the Immigration Minister announced that categories for category-based selection had been finalized by IRCC. Following the royal assent of Bill C-19 in the parliament of Canada, these categories were expected. The authority to invite economic immigrants is granted to the immigration minister, who can support the economy of Canada and promote the French language outside of Quebec.

Newcomers can be invited by the minister on the basis of specific attributes rather than focusing on the CRS score. Factors such as language proficiency or work experience can be included in the attributes.

To identify the most crucial gaps in the labour force of Canada, the categories such as healthcare, transport, agriculture and agri-food, strong French language proficiency, trades, and STEM professions were chosen after discussions with stakeholders, and provincial and territorial governments. Candidates who are getting selected under these categories must still be eligible for an Express Entry program. CRS scores will still be beneficial as candidates will be ranked against one another.

82,880 new permanent residents are planned to be admitted to Canada through Express Entry by the end of 2023 according to the Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025. In 2024, this rises to 109,020 and 114,000 by 2025. It will be ensured that newcomers to Canada are helping to meet these targets while strengthening the workforce of Canada through the new Express Entry categories.Canada Immigration News is here to provide you with more information about the latest Express Entry draws
