3 Provinces Invited Candidates from October 6 to October 12

3 provinces invited candidates from October 6 to October 12, namely, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Candidates who can integrate into the economy easily and support the local labour force by filling urgent gaps in in-demand sectors are invited to apply under Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Candidates who apply directly to the provincial government, known as base nomination or the ones from the Express Entry pool of applications, known as enhanced nomination, are selected by the provinces.

Getting invited by a province is different than getting permanent resident status, but it definitely makes the application stronger. A separate application must still be sent to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) by nominated candidates.

Provincial Immigration Results from October 6 to 12

Manitoba

542 candidates were invited by Manitoba to apply for nomination after holding 4 draws on October 5. Out of these 4 draws, two were for the candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category. The first draw was occupation-specific for candidates employed in professions that come under the National Occupational Classification 2021 major groups.

A total of 219 candidates were invited in this draw among which 72 candidates were technical trades, transportation officers, and controllers, 73 were general trades, and 75 were helpers, labourers, transport drivers, and operators. A minimum score of 610 is required by candidates to be considered.

In the second skilled worker draw, no candidate was invited on the basis of any specific attribute, which means it was a general draw. With a cut-off score of 629, 222 candidates were invited by the province. The rest of the two draws were also all-program draws. 41 candidates were invited from the Skilled Worker Overseas category with a minimum score of 601, and 60 candidates were invited from the International Education stream.

Alberta

On October 10, Alberta held a small draw in which 13 candidates were invited from the Dedicated Healthcare pathway with the Alberta job offer stream of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. All candidates who are invited under this stream are also in the federal Express Entry pool with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 327.

An allocation of 1,462 nominations was reported for candidates under this stream for 2023 and shows that there are less than 10 applicants currently in the queue. Approximately 1,383 allocations remain as per the reports by Alberta.
