Manitoba has issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Skilled Workers in Manitoba through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Meanwhile, British Columbia is accepting applications for its International Post-Graduate stream until 9 a.m. on January 7, 2025. Here are the details:
Manitoba
On December 27, 2024, Manitoba conducted its 235th draw, issuing 239 Letters of Advice to Apply (LOAs) to eligible skilled workers in the province. The lowest-ranked candidate invited had a score of 857.
In addition, 18 LOAs were issued under Manitoba’s Occupation-Specific Selection for Skilled Workers. The occupations considered in this draw were:
Furthermore, 19 LOAs were issued to candidates in the NOC unit group 60030 – Restaurant and food service managers, with a cut-off score of 632.
In total, 276 LOAs were issued.
Manitoba has noted that if a candidate’s score is higher than the lowest-ranked individual but they did not receive an LOA, it could be due to the following reasons:
British Columbia
As part of its 2024 announcements, British Columbia will be replacing the International Graduate and International Post-Graduate streams with new Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral streams, which will have updated eligibility criteria. These new streams will be launched in January 2025.
To prepare for the new streams, the last ITA for the International Graduate stream was issued on November 26, 2024. The International Post-Graduate stream will remain open for applications until 9 a.m. on January 7, 2025, for international students who meet the eligibility criteria as of December 31, 2024.
